Referring to Sir F. D. Lugard's Despatch No.

40136_333 of 11th. November, 1909, I have the honour to inform you that

the present Opiun Farm will expire on the last day of February next

year and that this Government proposes to invite tenders for a new

farm for 3 years from 1st. March, 1913. I should be glad to learn

by telegram whether you approve this course.

The advertisements will not in any case be

published until Sir Henry way has had an opportunity of considering

the matter.

I enclose for convenience of reference the last

notice calling for tenders.
